Legacy of the Tiger Mother
Got Mommy Issues? Join us on a musical journey with Lily, a first generation Chinese immigrant, and her daughter Mei as they endure the trials and tribulations of old school parenting in a new country. Like many Chinese, Mei and her mom Lily consider the piano the gateway to success, pushing their children to the limit, striving for perfection at every opportunity. But at Mei’s daughter Kim's piano recital, Mei clashes with Lily over how much is too much parenting. Mei must decide for herself what is the perfect balance of mixing the old with the new and still meet her mother’s approval. East meets west in this funny, irreverent and moving story about a mother, a daughter, a piano, and tough love, Asian style.

Summer Camp: The Musical
It's Summer 1982: Reagan’s in the White House, the Russians are building the bomb, and rustic Camp Tigglebitties is a hormonal hotbed where ubernerds Nolan and Dwight vow to lose their virginity to the gorgeous Lacey St. Claire...at the possible expense of their friendship. Serious questions are raised: Can Dwight enlist help from Obi-Wan? Who will win the Kotex 500? And what IS The Mook?
Written by Troy Heard with lyrics by Heard and Chan, and music by Chan, “Summer Camp!" is a musical homage to the classic genre of the early 1980s cinema popularly known as the Teen Sex Comedy,” says Heard, who was selected Best Director of 2011 by NPR’s Desert Companion magazine. “I remember staying up late many Saturday nights to watch Porky’s, Meatballs and Revenge of the Nerds on HBO. And like any red-blooded, prepubescent male I always thought there was way too much story between the shower scenes. This is my chance to fix that...while amping the awesomeness by adding musical numbers in different 80s rock-and-roll styles.”
"Summer Camp the Musical" premiered in Las Vegas Aug 10-26, 2012 at the Onyx Theatre.
